Outside-the-Lines

2007 Call for Art

Outside the Lines is open to adults and youth and offers local and regional and national artists with disabilities and others with limited arts access ways to showcase their work for sale while learning how to professionally submit art for consideration in juried and curated art exhibitions. Outside the Lines also works with other local and regional organizations and agencies to exhibit works from their arts programs as well to provide exhibition opportunities for their artists. Preference will be given to submissions from artists in VSAVA local, regional and statewide districts but please do not feel limited by this; the criterion for selection is broad and open to any artist with a disability.

Outside the Lines currently has 4 physical venues for exhibition and newly added this year, a virtual gallery where accepted artists have the opportunity to display their work on a yearly basis. Current locations include The Positive Vibe Café and Richmond Children’s Museum, SunTrust Bank, as well as Nextel Communications in Reston, VA.
